How to Wash and Care for Your Premium Football Jerseys
Nothing hurts more than seeing the sponsor logo peel off or the fabric ruin on your favorite premium football jersey. Proper care is essential to maintain the quality of your sports gear.
1. Always Wash Inside Out
Before throwing your jersey into the washing machine, turn it inside out. This protects the printed sponsors, names, and numbers from rubbing against other clothes and peeling off.
2. Use Cold Water and Gentle Cycle
Never wash your jerseys in hot water. Hot water can shrink the polyester fabric and melt the adhesive used on logos. Use a cold water setting and a gentle or hand-wash cycle on your machine.
3. Avoid Fabric Softeners and Bleach
Fabric softeners coat the fabric in a waxy residue that ruins the moisture-wicking technology of the jersey. Stick to mild detergents and completely avoid bleach.
4. Air Dry Only!
Never use a tumble dryer. The intense heat will destroy the printed numbers and shrink the jersey. Instead, hang your jersey on a hanger and let it air dry naturally in a shaded area.
5. Never Iron Directly on Prints
If your jersey gets wrinkled, turn it inside out and use the lowest heat setting on your iron. Never place the iron directly on the club crest or sponsor logos.
